Disney is Making Drastic Improvements to Their Dining Reservation Systems
If you are a frequent visitor of Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort, then you know how important the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps have become to your vacation.
This is especially the case when it comes to dining. Guests can now make dining reservations and even order food on their mobile devices from the palm of their hands!
Well, I am happy to report that based on guest feedback, Disney is making dining reservations even easier to book across all its platforms. So, let’s see what they have cooked up.
Guests Can Now See All Open Reservations
If you have ever wanted to visit a Disney restaurant, then you know that finding an open time slot can be difficult. To make things easier, Disney is now allowing guests to see a restaurant’s available reservation times for the entire day on My Disney Experience, the Disneyland app, and both resorts’ websites.
Now, instead of having to check reservations at half-hour intervals, guests can simply see all the reservations available throughout the day. Open reservations are now sorted by breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, meaning all they have to do is select the menu they want to enjoy and go from there!
Multi-Day Dining Reservation Search is Coming Soon
Another new feature coming to the Disney dining reservation system will be the ability to search for a reservation over multiple days. Sometimes, good dining can dictate your vacation schedule.
Soon, guests will be able to search for dining availability at a given restaurant for up to 10 days at a time. This should make scheduling your vacation that much easier!
Mobile Ordering Update
Last but not least, Disney has also recently introduced the ability to search for mobile order locations based on proximity. If you find yourself exploring one of Disney World’s four theme parks and want to get a bite to eat quickly, you can now sort mobile order locations by proximity and earliest available pickup times.
So, next time you find yourself deep in the jungles of Africa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you will know what the closest available food is.
All in all, it’s great to see Disney responding to guest feedback and making both dining reservations and mobile orders easier to manage!
