‘Tron: Ares’ Began Filming Last Month
After a series of delays, Tron: Ares officially began filming last month under the watchful eye of director Joachim Ronning.

Ronning, who has kept fans apprised of the progress of Tron: Ares, took to social media to announce the film’s initial delay.
“Today was supposed to be our first day of principal photography on ‘Tron: Ares’ (a movie subsequently about AI and what it means, and takes, to be human),” Ronning wrote. “Instead, we are shut down with over a hundred and fifty people laid off. It’s indefinite, which makes it exponentially harder for everyone.”

While we don’t know a ton about the story that Tron: Ares will tell, we do know that the traditional Tron structure will be flipped on its head when a threat emerges from the computer world into the real world.
