Work Continues on the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel Canopy
Despite the simplicity of the attraction, the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel remains one of the most iconic sights in all of Disney World.
With its regal theming and iconic canopy, the Carrousel is something of a rite of passage for young Disney fans who enter Fantasyland.
Aside from being a fan-favorite with younger guests, however, the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel is also the oldest attraction in all of Disney World.
As such, the ride requires some touching up from time to time.
Work Continues
Earlier this week, we brought you the news that Prince Charming Regal Carrousel’s canopy was being worked on, though the attraction remained open.
When visiting the Carrousel today, we noticed that work was continuing.
As you can see, one of the canopy’s panels is being repainted. While the work is being done, the middle section has been covered.
Other parts of the canopy, meanwhile, continue to be covered in a scrim. As you can see, the tarp has been painted to match the rest of the canopy.
Outside of the canopy, work is also being done on the gold eagles that line the Carrousel’s backdrop.
Here is a closer look.
Looking Good For Its Age
Considering that the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel was originally created in 1917, I’d say the attraction looks great for its age!
Hopefully, the current refurbishment will be done soon, and the Carrousel will return to its full glory soon!
