Large Crowds, Park Pass Scarcity, and High Genie+ Prices Arrive For Presidents Day Weekend
While February is traditionally a slower season at Walt Disney World, with the long Presidents Day weekend upon us, guests are descending upon Walt Disney World.
If you are planning on visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth but haven’t finalized your plans yet, be prepared! Annual Passholder Park Passes and Disney’s Genie+ service are all in high demand and may not be available.
Here is the latest scoop.
Annual Passholder Park Passes Are Unavailable
Let’s start with the Annual Passholder situation.
If you are a Passholer, then you know that Park Reservations are still required to visit Walt Disney World’s theme parks.
Currently, all Annual Pass Park Passes have run out for today, meaning Passholders will have to wait until 2:00 pm to enter the parks.
However, Park Passes are still available for Saturday and Sunday. With crowds expected to be high, Passholders may want to secure their reservations now! Remember, Passholders are still blocked from entering Magic Kingdom at all on the weekend if they don’t have a Park Pass.
Special Group Tickets Are Running Out
While date-based tickets no longer require park reservations, other group tickets still do. For those who are potentially planning a last-minute visit to Walt Disney World as part of a student group, sports team, or convention group, you are also going to want to act quickly.
Currently, only EPCOT has availability for these groups, with Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios already at capacity.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, Magic Kingdom is already sold out, though the other three parks remain open.
If the large crowds today are any indication, special ticket availability could be scarce tomorrow. So lock in your plans now while you can!
A Look at Disney Genie+ Prices
If you do plan on visiting a Walt Disney World park today and want to use the Disney Genie+ service, here is a look at the prices.
As you can see, Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are the most expensive, followed by EPCOT and then Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
With crowds expected to be heavy today, it may be a good idea to skip the line and take advantage of the Lightning Lanes. It is possible that with demand so high Genie+ will sell out, so act quickly!
