Patrick Mahomes Celebrates at Disneyland
The Kansas City Chiefs just narrowly won Super Bowl LVIII, which you and 200 million of your closest friends watched.
Afterward, the Super Bowl MVP did what the champion always does. He and his family headed to The Happiest Place on Earth.
Let’s chronicle Patrick Mahomes’s celebration at Disneyland Resort.
A Hero’s Victory Parade
Folks, you may not have realized it, but your Super Bowl party became a part of television history on Sunday evening.
You and an average of 123.4 million other people watched the entire game, making this Super Bowl special.
According to historians, this game was the single most-watched television event since the MOON LANDING in 1969!
Most of us weren’t even alive for that event, which reinforces just how big a deal this year’s Super Bowl has become in the annals of pop culture.
Patrick Mahomes II, the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, almost single-handedly willed his team to victory.
His magnificent performance earned him the title of MVP of Super Bowl LVIII, and Disney rewarded him with a victory parade.
Mahomes and his wonderful wife, Brittany Mahomes, the scene-stealer on Netflix’s Quarterback, grabbed their two children and left Las Vegas.
Once the family arrived at Disneyland, the quarterback received a hero’s welcome, which Disney recounted here.
You’ll find plenty of videos of the celebration on Disney’s social media channels. Here’s Mahomes riding in the victory parade:
Disney also quickly interviewed him here:
Later, Mahomes appeared on ESPN Sports Center to speak with its co-hosts:
The Mahomes Celebrate at Disneyland
Since the Mahomes family has two small children, they understandably spent a lot of time at Mickey’s Toontown.
As Mahomes noted, his kids adore the interactivity here. It’s a parent’s dream distraction area.
Given that Mahomes was probably tired after that game and partying until the wee hours of the morning in Vegas, I’m sure he appreciated Toontown.
Mahomes has taken this Disneyland victory lap three times now, but Toontown in its current form wasn’t open last year.
So, everything was new for the kids, giving mom and dad some much-needed time to decompress after an insane week.
You can tell he’s especially enjoying this one since it was harder than the others.
Kansas City was the underdog during its final three games on its way to repeating as Super Bowl champions.
In case you missed it, here was Mahomes’ most recent “I’m going to Disneyland” commercial:

Finally, I know you’re here for the Disney stuff, but Sports Center posted a remarkable stat about Mahomes.
He’s the seventh player across all major sports and the first NFL player to win three world championships and two MVP trophies by the age of 28.
This places Mahomes in the rare air of legends like Joe DiMaggio, Larry Bird, Bill Russell, Guy LaFleur, Stan Musial, and Mickey Mantle.
We’re watching one of the greatest sports careers ever…and I mean all of us.
Estimates suggest that more than 200 million tuned in for at least some part of the Taylor Swift Bowl…err, Super Bowl.
