Nick Saban to be Newest ESPN Commentator
It didn’t take long for college football coaching legend Nick Saban to find a new job after recently announcing his retirement. During today’s The Walt Disney Company’s Earning call, it was announced that Saban will be the newest ESPN commentator.
While not many other details were given, we do know that Saban will be an analyst on ESPN’s popular College GameDay show that airs on ESPN every Saturday morning during the college football season.
He will join the ranks alongside Kirk Herbstreit, Rece Davis, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, and many other popular college football analysts.

Just a few weeks ago, Saban shocked college football fans everywhere when he announced he would be stepping away from his head coach position at the University of Alabama after 17 seasons.
Prior to Saban being the head football coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide, he was also head coach of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins for a short stint and coached at Louisiana State University before that.
Saban began his coaching career back in 1973 as a graduate assistant at Kent State University and worked his way up to the top from there. He was also a member of the Kent State Football Team as a Defensive Back from 1970 to 1972.
It’s also possible that Saban will take a lighter role with the spots giant and be brought on from time to time for interviews and analysis of big college football matchups.
