Pixar Place Hotel is now open at Disneyland Resort and MickeyBlog is there.
The reimagined hotel (formerly the Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel) and a great celebration. The opening ceremony included special appearances by Bing Bong, Woody, Lightning McQueen and more.
This 15-story high-rise is the first completely Pixar-themed hotel and pays homage to the art of Pixar animation. Everywhere you look there are whimsical nods to your favorite Pixar films and icons.
Our MickeyBlog reporter captured some of the fun of the hotel’s amazing offerings and new look.
Grand Re-Opening
Pixar Place officially re-opened January 30th! There is still some small construction happening on the outside of the main entrance.
The iconic Pixar logo appears on the side of the high-rise, and check out the pops of color on the main level.
The entrance features bright red, blue, and yellow colors and fun tiles creating a whimsical start to your stay.
Head inside for even more Pixar-inspired fun. Yesterday’s opening ceremony had a “grand reveal” of the hotel’s new lobby, and fans have been waiting for months to see this.
Front and Center is Luxo, Jr on top of the iconic ball.
Pixar Place Hotel is designed to evoke the magic of every Pixar film, while celebrating the artistic process. The new look combines art, comfort, and technology while paying tribute to Pixar studios.
From subtle details to decadent décor, Guests will experience their favorite moments from Pixar.

Colorful Pixar-inspired mobiles swirl overhead.
The mobiles feature your favorite characters from The Incredibles, Wall-E, Finding Nemo, and more.
Bright colored lights add to the magical look.
And it’s not just the lobby that is inspired by your favorite Pixar friends.
Mike and Sulley from Monsters University can be spotted on gym treadmills, and Hank, Squirt, Dory, and Marlin are found in the colorful new pool area.
Pixar fun is everywhere in the new hotel.
Just off the lobby is the new merchandise store, STOR-E (a fun a nod to WALL-E).
Shop for the perfect souvenir while exploring Pixar artwork and memorabilia like the scuba mask from Finding Nemo, balloons from Up, and Hank’s coffee pot from Finding Dory.
And be sure to check out the menu from The Sketch Pad Cafe. This is one of the new dining offerings at Pixar Place Hotel.
Guests can also enjoy delicious fare at 6,500 square-foot Great Maple Pad or the rooftop pool bar Small Bytes (opening in early March).
And be prepared to come face to face with your Disney faves.
Guests can hear Joe Gardner from Soul playing jazz on the piano and meet Bing Bong from Inside Out.
