One Fan-Favorite Booth Was a Bit of a Disappointment at the 2024 Festival of the Arts
It’s a beautiful Friday, and MickeyBlog is reporting LIVE from the very first day of the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts!
That’s right, all day we’ll be sharing our photos of the festival merchandise, attractions, entertainment and more… as well as providing full reviews for all the tasty marketplace kitchens found across the park.
Right now, we’re over in the World Showcase, where some tasty Hispanic treats are a-cookin’ over at a long-established favorite festival booth.
Let’s go see what’s available, and place our orders!
El Artista Hambriento
Of course, we’re over at El Artista Hambriento – where any hungry artist can stop off for a tasty snack! This year, there’s a returning dish and a handful of tasty drinks available on the menu, so keep reading to check them out!
Starting with the food, it’s a classic Carne Asada being served up here. Of course, we had to try this, so let’s admire the dish together!
Costing $10.50, this mouth-watering meal consists of a chipotle-marinated beef sirloin, served with grilled queso fresco, and Nopalese salad with queso fresco foam and chicharron dust.
Sounds amazing!
Now… for our review. And we’re going to start with the positives first.
According to our reporters, the beef here was delicious. It was cooked perfectly, had a beautiful flavor, and was complimented by the taste of the queso, too.
However. Unfortunately, the entire plate was cold, making the meal nowhere near as enjoyable as we felt it could have been. Plus, with only three strips of green bell pepper making up the “salad,” we were struggling to see how this could be worth its price.
What a shame!
Thankfully, if you’re looking for a drink, El Artista Hambriento is certainly the place to go if you want a margarita!
There are two available here, starting with the Rubí Delicioso Margarita, which blends Tromba Blanco Tequila with Lejay Blackcurrant Liqueur, citrus, mint, spicy agave, and beet juice. Then, we’ve also got the Smokey Banana Bliss Margarita, which includes Ten to One Rum, Ilegal Mezcal Joven, banana puree, and lime juice. Wow!
Here, we tried the Rubí Delicioso, which was very smoky yet sweet from the berry juice. The beets were what gave the drink that sexy red color, and although the drink didn’t taste too strongly of citrus it was definitely an enjoyable, fruity option. It cost $16.50.
But, if margs aren’t your thing, there’s still a Mexican Craft Beer available on the menu here too instead, for $6 or $11. Can’t go wrong!
If the Carne Asada or any of the drinks appeal to you, we’d suggest you hit El Artista Hambriento on your next visit to the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts.
Located just by the Mexico pavilion, this booth is a great one to hit either at the start of your World Showcase tour… or the end. Either way, we hope you have a great time!
