5 Reasons Disney Cruise Line’s New Terminal in Fort Lauderdale Might be the Most Magical Yet
When you take a Disney Cruise, the magic starts even before you board the ship! That’s even more true than ever now with the debut of Disney Cruise Line’s newest terminal at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida!
Here are 5 reasons why this new terminal might even be the most magical yet!

1. Disney Cruise Line has Two Homeports in Florida All Year
With Port Canaveral “just up the road,” Disney Cruise Line now boasts not one but two year-round home ports in the Sunshine State!
The Disney Wish and the Disney Fantasy will continue to sail from Port Canaveral, while the Disney Dream is now calling Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.

Then, in May 2024, the Disney Dream will transition over to Europe for a summer of fun. But, to keep the magic in Fort Lauderdale, the Disney Magic then call Port Everglades home, offering Guests 3-, 4-, and 5-night itineraries to the Caribbean and the Bahamas.

2. It’s a “Big, Blue World”
Upon entering the new Disney Cruise Line terminal in Fort Lauderdale, Guests will think they have been transported into a “Big, Blue World” and think they are in the middle of the hit Disney movie, “Finding Nemo!”
Guests will be treated to murals – and even live fish – including Nemo’s school friends of Tad, Sheldon and Pearl, as they enter the terminal.

As they get closer to getting onboard, be on the lookout for Nemo, Marlin, and Dory. Don’t forget to look up, too!

3. Location, Location, Location!
When you are in Fort Lauderdale, you are surrounded by three international airports and just moments away from the beach, great art, amazing shopping, entertainment, world-class restaurants, and so much more, making this the perfect pre- and post-cruise location.
And, you are only a few hours away from Walt Disney World if you are looking to add even more magic to your Disney vacation!

4. Great Itineraries with Stops at Disney’s Private Islands
All cruises sailing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale offer some of the best itineraries on the high seas – including the opportunity to enjoy Disney’s private island oasis, Castaway Cay, and its soon-to-be-open private oasis, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point!
Currently, the Disney Dream is offering 4- and 5-night cruises to ports of call, including Grand Cayman, Nassau, Cozumel, and Disney’s Castaway Cay.

When the Disney Magic calls Fort Lauderdale home next May, Guests sailing on these Bahamian and Caribbean cruises with Disney Cruise Line will be among the first to visit the all-new Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point!

5. Disney Cruise Line Gives Back
Just like at other ports Disney Cruise Line calls home, Disney Cruise Line will give back to the local Fort Lauderdale community by partnering with Junior Achievement South Florida and Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.
By making a donation to both organizations, Disney Cruise Line will help fund a variety of programs that spark career exploration, innovation, and storytelling.
