runDisney’s 2023 Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend Was One For the History Books
This past weekend, runners went on a magical journey alongside friends, family, and their favorite Disney characters during the 2023 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend.
Orlando runner Ian Bordelon was able to defend his title after taking home the top spot in the male division for the second year in a row. He finished with a time of 1:11:38.
Renee Kearns completed the 13.1-mile course through Walt Disney World’s theme parks in 1:12:55 to win the female division.
In the wheelchair division, Heather Sealover from Brossier City Louisiana finished first with a time of 1:02:33. Nicholas McCoy of Bouerne, Texas was the first male finisher at 1:10:34.
Most participants dressed up as their favorite Disney characters, and the costumes were amazing.
An Inspiring Performance By Zach Berstein
Also running an impressive race was Zach Bernstein.
After losing his leg as a result of an accident, Zach completed the Disney Wine & Dine 5K. Running with a blade prosthetic, Zach conquered the runDisney event, despite the obstacles that life has thrown in front of him. To learn more about Zach’s story, check out the short video below!
