Cinderella Castle Has a Blocked View Today at Magic Kingdom
There’s a peculiar sight at the Magic Kingdom this morning, with a a forest of mystery trees sprouting at the very end of Main Street, U.S.A.
Why is the view of Cinderella Castle blocked, and how will it affect today’s guests to the park? Let’s investigate….
Upon arriving at the Magic Kingdom this morning, our MickeyBlog reporters were confused to find this line of bushes had been left at the foot of Cinderella Castle, between the turrets and surrounding the stage area.
As you can see from the photos, the trim shrubs are housed in these wheeled wooden planters, which we usually see moved around to block off sights of construction across Walt Disney World. What they are hiding here in front of the castle this morning is unclear, but we’ll certainly be keeping a close eye out for updates!
So – how’s this going to affect guests? Well, we’ve checked the park calendar, and we’re pleased to say that it looks like castle-centric entertainment such as Happily Ever After and the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade are both unaffected, and will be taking place as normal.
So really, the main effect here is going to be the slight temporary restriction of view of the castle. However, as you can see from the photos, the restriction isn’t really that striking.
I mean sure, perhaps these shrubs aren’t quite as photogenic as that other huge green feature that went up in the Magic Kingdom this week…
But we were glad to see that guests were still happily able to take cute castle shots this bright fall morning at the Magic Kingdom!
So, in summary, while it’s a shame to see part of the iconic castle blocked off to guests this morning, we’re thrilled to see that Disney have kept disruption to a minimum.
Whether they’re working on necessary refreshments or perhaps preparing the area for the upcoming holiday performances, we’ll be sure to keep a close eye on how this situation progresses at the park.
In the meantime, prepare for some cute shrub shots to pop up in your Instagram feeds, as Cinderella Castle is looking (temporarily) greener than usual!
