Zootopia Land to Open December 20 at Shanghai Disney Resort!
Visitors to Shanghai Disney Resort will finally get the chance to explore Zootopia in person when Shanghai Disney’s newest land opens on December 20.
The new land will be the first Zootopia-themed area in any Disney park. Inside, guests will not only get to explore the city, but also rub elbows with some of its most famous residents including Fru Fru, Mr. Big, Koslove, Flash, Yak, Duke Weaselton, and the Hopps family.

Inside the Zootopia Recruitment Station, fans can also meet the city’s heroes Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.
Zootopia: Hot Pursuit
The centerpiece of Shanghai Disneyland’s Zootopia Land, however, will be Zootopia: Hot Pursuit.

On the attraction, guests will become official officers of the Zototopia Police Department. When Gazelle is kidnapped by Bellwether just before the big Zootopia Day concert, guests must provide backup to Officer Judy Hopps and her partner Nick Wilde in an action-filled police chase.
Judy and Nick Are Ready To Welcome Guests
As part of the opening day announcement, Shanghai Disney Resort posted on their Weibo page that “Judy, Nick and their Zootopia friends are ready to welcome everyone to this vibrant, lifelike metropolis of mammals!”

The post also touts Zootopia Land as the eighth-largest themed land in Shanghai!
Finally, along with announcing Zootopia Land’s opening date, Disney posted a video giving fans a sneak peek at what to expect. It looks amazing!
