Details on the Holiday Festivities Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom
It’s only October, but the holiday season is about to begin in Disney World. There will soon be decorations galore, deliciously festive treats, and a ton of new merchandise.

Recently, Disney has been sharing more and more about what’s happening in the parks for the holidays this year. We previously found out a little bit about the holiday celebrations at Animal Kingdom, but now, Disney is sharing more details!
The Holidays at Animal Kingdom
Get ready for all kinds of festive cheer at Animal Kingdom this holiday season! First up, make sure to check out the flotillas that will be getting a holiday twist and feature some of your favorite characters.
The Merry Menagerie is returning as well! This is where you can interact with life-size, artisan-sculpted animal puppets on Discover Island (out in front of the Tree of Life).

Speaking of the famous park icon, Tree of Life Awakenings will receive a holiday version for the season. Disney says it will feature a “colorful tableau of wintry tales accompanied by a musical score.”

You will also be able to meet Santa Claus at Animal Kingdom! This should be exciting since the past few years we’ve only seen him on a flotilla in the park.
