You CANNOT Miss The TERRIFYING ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Overlay at Disneyland!
Listen…we know Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout! is always terrifying to some. But during the Halloween season, we believe everyone can agree it’s frightening, to say the least.

That’s because the attraction has its own holiday overlay during the Halloween season–and y’all, it’s scary. We’re not talking about the kind of spooks you can see at Haunted Mansion Holiday, we’re talking about frightening monsters. Come check out Guardians of the Galaxy — Monsters After Dark with us!
Guardians of the Galaxy — Monsters After Dark
During the Halloween season at the Disneyland Resort, you can take a ride on the festive Guardians of the Galaxy — Monsters After Dark ride overlay in Disney California Adventure. But to hitch a ride on this seasonal overlay, you’ll need to join the queue after 3PM–when the overlay begins for the night!

The exterior of the attraction has alarms and lights going off, signaling that trouble lies inside. And if that wasn’t enough of a warning, you can also find multiple signs around the queue…

Inside the attraction, more alarms and lights are going off, and the queue’s video introduces you to the danger you’re facing–the beasts have left their cages and they’re on the loose!

Our mission is to help save Groot, who was left behind. The entire queue is filled with signs of the impending danger you’re about to face. If you’re lucky, you might run into a cast member wielding a net to catch the monsters with!

This is my personal favorite Halloween overlay at the Disneyland Resort–you just can’t miss it! Hitch a ride during your next spooky night in the park. (But we also do recommend skipping this overlay if you have younger kids with you–it might be too much for them to handle.)
