The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Is Moving To Disney+
For the first time since 1995, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has a new home on television.
The 2023 Induction Ceremony will be broadcast on Disney+ and ABC as part of a new deal, moving the Hall of Fame from its longtime home on HBO. In fact, it will be the first time since 1995 that the event has not been broadcast on HBO.
“This historic live stream on Disney+ and special on ABC is a testament to the diverse sounds and enduring power of rock and roll,” said John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. “Over the last three decades, the annual live Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction has become music’s highest honor, celebrating the artists who’ve defined generations and changed music forever.”
A Star-Studded Event
This year’s inductees include Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliot, Geroge Michael, Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine, and The Spinners.
The ceremony will include performances by Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliot, Chaka Khan, and Willie Nelson. Additional special guest performers will include Dave Matthews, Chris Stapleton, New Edition, Brandi Carlile, H.E.R., and St. Vincent.
“The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony has been the home to some of the most memorable moments in music history and celebrates the immeasurable impact these artists have had on the industry and culture,” said Rob Mills, EVP, of Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment, Walt Disney Television. “We are so excited to offer audiences a front-row seat when they tune in on Disney+ and ABC.”
Where To Watch
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will air live on Disney+ on November 3.
ABC will then air a special featuring performances from the event on January 1.
