While the seasons change and winter fades away, the reality is that March still lacks ideal weather conditions in most parts of the country.
Do you know where that’s not the case? Orlando, Florida’s weather remains temperate and comfortable throughout the month.

Meanwhile, at this time of year, Disney introduces one of its one most popular festivals.
Also, by next March, the theme parks will have debuted several new attractions and experiences, all of which Disney fans will love.
More importantly from your perspective, you’ll have the free time to enjoy Walt Disney World, which is really the main reason that keeps fans away.

We gotta go to work to pay for it! And we can’t drag kids out of school for Disney, either.
Well, in March 2024, that’s less of an issue. Easter falls on March 31st, giving some people a holiday weekend to spend at Disney.

As for school-aged children, many of them will have Spring Break in March.
In short, you’ll have substantially more opportunities to visit Disney conveniently in March than in most months.
The Weather Forecast for March
I already mentioned the lovely weather you’re likely to experience in Orlando next March. Here’s what you need to know about it.
During a typical March day, the high temperature ranges from 65 to 86 degrees. The average high is 80 degrees throughout the month.

So, March occasionally experiences some hotter weather, but it’s typically a lovely mid- to upper 70s throughout the day.
At night, the lower temperature hovers between 45 and 68 degrees. Again, cold weather is possible but quite rare.
The average low temperature throughout March is 61 degrees. Obviously, the temperatures usually increase later in the month as spring arrives.
The first day of spring in 2024 is March 19th. As a general rule, you can expect the last ten days of the month to be warmer than the rest.
Overall, let’s be blunt about where you live vs. Disney. Wouldn’t you love a high temperature of 80 and a low of 61 for an entire week?
You’ll generally get that at Disney, which is reason enough to visit.
You’re escaping the last gasp of frigid winter weather by vacationing in sunny Florida. Doesn’t that sound lovely?
What to Expect at Walt Disney World in March

Walt Disney World hosts several noteworthy events around this time of the year.
The biggie is the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which should operate throughout March.
We don’t have exact dates yet, but the 2023 event began on March 1st. It’s safe to expect this festival to open for most if not all of March.
At the event, you’ll find some of the tastiest food and drinks at Walt Disney World all year.
The various Outdoor Kitchens serve limited-time cuisine that justifies a Disney visit for the food alone!
Of course, you’ll also enjoy the natural beauty of the various Flower & Garden festivities.
Cast members turn shrubberies into breathtaking Disney themed topiaries.
My favorites are the ones that bring scenes from Fantasia to life, but I’m a sucker for a Lightning McQueen topiary as well.
Of course, in 2024, Disney provides additional incentives for you to visit.
Figment
Park officials just announced a bunch of new attractions and experiences coming soon.
After a 15-year absence, Figment is meeting guests at the Imagination! pavilion again.
Journey of Water | Inspired by Moana provides a revolutionary walkthrough attraction experience at EPCOT.
Once you’re done there, you can visit Moana at her new character spot near the attraction.
You can also hang out at the new EPCOT gathering spots at World Celebration.
They are CommuniCore Hall, CommuniCore Plaza, and Dreamers Point.
A new nighttime show will arrive in December as well. Luminous The Symphony of Us is the spiritual successor to Harmonious.
The Hatbox Ghost will also materialize at Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom for the first time ever!

There is more happening over the next six months than I can ever recall at EPCOT. And it’ll all be available in March!
What to Expect in Central Florida in March

You’ll discover plenty of entertainment options if you’re willing to leave the Disney Bubble.
Honestly, that’s not something I do often, as I have too much fun at Walt Disney World to look elsewhere.
Still, NBA fans will probably consider the idea. I say this because the Orlando Magic will host ten (!) NBA home games in March.
The Magic has one of the best young cores in the NBA and promise to be an exciting team to watch over the next few seasons.
You can say you caught a game when everyone was just getting started!

Those of you who enjoy lavish Broadway plays are also in for a treat.
Two of the newest popular shows will play at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts next March.

Moulin Rouge! – The Musical starts the month here. Then, Jagged Little Pill, the Alanis Morisette musical, follows on March 19th.
You’ll need to get a bit lucky with your dates, though. Moulin Rouge is only available March 1st-3rd, while Jagged Little Pill hosts shows on March 19th-24th.
