In 1965, Disneyland was preparing for its 10th Anniversary when a marketing Cast Member, Jack Lindquist, proposed the idea of a Cast Member representative.
The “Tencennial Ambassador” would be a representative traveling across the country and overseas, and share the excitement of Disneyland with media and guests. Walt liked the idea and the program was born.
