‘Ahsoka’ Posts Very Impressive Debut Ratings
If you are a Star Wars fan, specifically one who has seen The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels animated series, then Ahsoka has been a dream come true.
The series picks up on both the story of Anakin Sykwalker’s apprentice and the Star Wars Rebels Ghost Crew, bringing a slew of fan-favorite Star Wars characters from animation to live-action.

While die-hard Star Wars fans were thrilled to see the franchise continue the stories that it had laid the groundwork for over 11 seasons of animated television, others worried that Ahsoka wouldn’t be accessible to those who weren’t as well versed in the animated stories.
‘Ahsoka’ Posts Strong Debut
As it turns out, those fears may have been unfounded. The numbers have now come in for Ahsoka’s two-episode debut, and the newest Disney+ Star Wars series put up impressive numbers.

The first two episodes of Ahsoka, which stars Rosario Dawson as the titular former Jedi, racked up 829 million minutes of views for its debut week of August 21-27.
With a total running time of 100 minutes over the two installments, that translates to about 8.29 million complete views of each episode.

Interestingly, Disney has previously stated the first episode gathered the equivalent of 14 million plays worldwide over its first five days.
Ahoska’s 829 million minutes of viewing ranks second among DIsney+ Star Wars shows for their premiere week. The only show to top Ahsoka was Obi-Wan Kenobi in May 2022. The return of Ewan McGregor’s iconic Jedi brought in over 1.03 billion minutes of viewing.
Will The Show Retain Its Audience?
The question for Ahsoka will now revolve around how well the show can keep its audience.
With the return of Anakin Skywalker in the show’s fifth episode and the reveal of both Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger in Episode 6, Ahsoka‘s pace picks up to a breakneck speed.

If the series managed to retain viewers through its early episodes, Disney may have another Star Wars hit series on their hands.
