Help Bring The Citizens of Hollywood Back to Disney World

While operations at Disney World have finally returned to normal, the parks are still feeling the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the years following the pandemic-related closures, guests happily welcomed back beloved offerings like character dining, meet-and-greets, and live shows. However, one entertainment group didn’t return when Disney World reopened — and some fans are urging Disney to bring them back.

Citizens of Hollywood

If you visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios before 2020, then you’re probably familiar with the Citizens of Hollywood. But in case you’re not, this improv group performed daily in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests were often invited to take part in their shows, which were a park staple for many. From the opening of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, to its closure in 2020, the Citizens of Hollywood have brought magic and laughter to the park.

Unfortunately, the park reopened without the improv group present, and they haven’t returned since. This is what the petition’s organizer, Kat Corson, had to say about the Citizens of Hollywood and their impact in the park:

In this petition, I am asking Walt Disney World to please bring back the Citizens of Hollywood to Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Citizens of Hollywood were and still are a crucial part of not only entertainment but the park as a whole.

Without the Citizens of Hollywood, there is no heart to the park. The incredibly talented actors who brought each of the citizens to life brought so much energy, joy, magic, and love to the streets of Hollywood.
