The Walt Disney Company has been celebrating World Princess Week and getting ready for their biggest royal celebration yet.
In just a few days, Disney and Make-A-Wish is hosting one of the biggest wish-granting events ever with the “Once Upon A Wish Party.”
This special event is a full day affair complete with enchanting surprises, inspiration, and adventures for 300 honored guests.
Cast Members, Disney characters, and wish families are eager and excited for the event. Disney captured some of the emotional and heartwarming reactions below!
This magical event includes a tea party in Wonderland, a Royal Ball with Disney princesses and princes, and more .
Disney Wishes and Dreams Come True
Disney received wishes that helped inspire the Once Upon A Wish Party:
- 8-year-old Lily from Middletown, Delaware wishes to have a princess tea party.
- 7-year-old Scarlett from Orlando, Florida wishes to have a Disney Princess experience at Disney World.
- 4-year-old Andi from Bridgewater, New Jersey wishes to visit Disney World and meet Ariel, Tiana and Elsa.
After announcing the event, one inspiring princess specifically wished to go to “Disney Princess Week.”
Lainey is a 5-year-old from Maine with chronic ventilator dependence whose favorite princesses are Belle and Elena. Lainey just can’t wait to meet them.
This trip means a lot, especially as we’re getting close to our one-year anniversary of when everything happened. It’s a milestone for us to be able to get out and have some normalcy and do something special together as a family. It feels like the turning of a new chapter for us.
Disney World’s Royal Party
Disney is also helping make 17-year-old Mikayla’s dreams come true at the party. Mikayla began her battle fighting cancer three years ago and wishes to perform onstage at Disney.
At the Royal Ball, Makayla will be performing a “Tale as Old As Time” on the Disney stage. “I am so thankful and can’t wait to perform,” Makayla enthusiastically shared.
Practically Perfect Party
It has been over a year of planning and the excitement is building for this special event held at Disney’s Contepomporary Resort. Wish events are essential for kids and families facing critical illnesses as they provide a break from the everyday as they fight against and overcome a critical illness.
