A Newly Refurbished Monorail Green Returns To Service At Disney World
The Walt Disney World Monorail Green is back in action!
After undergoing an extensive exterior refurbishment, the Monorail Green returned to service today on the Walt Disney World monorail system.
Guests taking the Express Monorail line between the Transportation and Ticket Center and the Magic Kingdom were greeted by a familiar sight, the Monorail Green once again operating high above Walt Disney World.
Newly Refurbished
The Monorail Green had recently been missing in action as it underwent a refurbishment at the monorail roundhouse.
Aerial photos showed that the flexible coverings between cars had been removed and the service doors were taken off.
While under refurbishment, the Monorail Green got a newly updated paint job, complete with black deltas added to the monorail’s stripe.
Other color monorails also got new details added during similar refurbishments.
Disney’s Transportation Renovations
While the interior of the Monorail Green has remained the same, the cabins were refurbished during a 2019 renovation.
With Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary having come and gone, it’s good to see that Disney is still keeping up with the monorails.
Earlier today, EPCOT debuted a freshly repainted FreindShip boat. All in all Walt Disney World’s transportation is looking good! Hopefully, Disney continues to do these periodic refurbishments, it really goes a long way!
Here is one last look at the Monorail Green in action today, she looks great! I can’t wait to see her in person.
