Four Things To LOVE About Disney’s Hollywood Hotel at Hong Kong Disneyland
We’re excited to share a first look at the newly renovated Disney’s Hollywood Hotel located at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. The hotel is now officially welcoming guests and is perfect for those looking to enjoy the spirit of fantasy, whimsy, and movie-making. You’ll also find two all-new dining options and a stylish lounge and bar.
Other highlights include a stunning new lobby and merchandise shop and the new decor includes Disney legacies and masterpieces that you’ll find throughout. To give you a sense of just how stunning Disney’s Hollywood Hotel really is, check out four things we LOVE! about this exceptional resort property.
1. Art Deco-Inspired Lobby
The stunning lobby at Disney’s Hollywood Hotel was inspired by Art Deco with a bit of a contemporary twist.
Behind the front desk, you’ll see artwork celebrating The Walt Disney Company’s key studios: Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, and Marvel Studios. You’ll love the meticulous details right down to the background music featuring upbeat jazz covers of popular Disney movie songs!
2. New Restaurant, Ink & Plate Celebrates Women of Disney Animation
Ink & Plate is a quirky American-style eatery. The name of the restaurant pays tribute to the Ink & Paint Department at Walt Disney Animation Studios. Since the 1930s, this department has played a pivotal role in inking and coloring the cel artwork for some of Disney’s most beloved classics.
The Ink & Paint theme can be found throughout the dining room, including chairs with paper-like colors representing ink and vibrant colors splashed across the front representing pain.
The tableware is inspired by paint, ink blobs, animation cel artwork, and more. Having pride of the place in the eatery is a stunning mural celebrating the creative process of hand-drawn animation.
3. New Lounge, The Archivist, Celebrates Cinematic Excellence
Here’s a first look at The Archivist, a stylish lounge that pays tribute to classic Hollywood glamor! The lounge is decorated with film reels, catalogs, and even artifacts from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The lounge’s name even has significance in Chinese (留映廳)
The Archivist is made up of Chinese characters that represent the words “keeping,” “staying,” “seizing the moment by taking a photo,” “movie” and “reflections.”
These words are perfect for celebrating the movie nature of the space along with spending time with family, friends, and loved ones.
4. Celebrity Gifts Is a Treasure Trove of Disney Goodies
Celebrity Gifts shop takes its inspiration from the lobby’s art deco style. Notice the starburst carpet, globe pendant lamps, and geometric wallpaper.
At the center of the shop, you’ll see a gold replica of Donald Duck shown tangled in a film reel. Celebrity Gifts is the perfect spot to grab all of your Hong Kong Disneyland goodies!
As you can see from all of these incredible touches, Disney’s Hollywood Hotel is unlike any other and distinctly unique to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
