‘World of Frozen’ Will Open Its Gates at Hong Kong Disneyland in November 2023
Nearly seven years after the land was officially announced, Disney has finally revealed that World of Frozen will open at Hong Kong Disneyland this November.
That’s right, for the first time in forever, guests will be invited from near and far to take part in a Summer Snow Day at the kingdom of Arendelle.
Originally announced in 2016, the World of Frozen will be the first land created specifically based on the animated film.
Within the land, guests will be transported to the kingdom of Arendelle, and fully immersed in all that the locale has to offer.
Two Frozen Attractions
The new land will be home to two Frozen-themed attractions. The first is a one-of-a-kind roller coaster — Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs.
On the attraction, guests will embark on a scenic ride through Arendelle. Additionally, the ride was built by Wandering Oaken himself.
In a recent sneak peek of the attraction, Disney revealed that the ride is actually powered by Olaf and Sven themselves, who help pull the sleds to the top of the lift hill, sending guests on their way.
The second attraction will be a version of Frozen Ever After, which originally debuted at EPCOT.
The dark ride takes guests on a tour of Arendelle, including Elsa’s palace, before they arrive for the “Summer Snow Day” celebration.
The Chance to Explore Arendelle
In addition to the land’s two main attractions, The World of Frozen will also be home to a character experience at the Playhouse in Woods. Finally, there will be restaurants, shopping, and more! I for one can’t wait!
The World of Frozen will be opening just about the time that Frozen is celebrating its 10th anniversary. I wonder if Disney has anything else in store?
