Everything Coming to the Disneyland Resort for the 2023 Holiday Season
It’s Christmas in July! And, to get us ready for the 2023 holiday season at the Disneyland Resort, I have put together this guide to get the merriment started!
I will give one warning, though, if you don’t already have a trip planned to the Disneyland Resort for the 2023 holiday season, you are surely going to book one after reading this!

Magic and Merriment Abound for the 2023 Holiday Season at Disney California Adventure Park
Disney Festival of the Holidays
Returning for another year of cultural holiday celebrations, the Disney Festival of the Holidays invites Guests to learn more about Christmas, Navidad, Hanukkah, Diwali, Kwanzaa, and Three Kings’ Day through music, food, and fun for the entire family.
Guests are also invited to take part in the festive Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party showcasing holiday traditions from Mexico and Brazil and performed by cultural performers and hosted by The Three Caballeros.

In addition to 12-foot-tall mojiganga puppets of Santa and Mrs. Clause, Guests will be treated to authentic olklórico dancers, mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers, and drummers. I’m even hearing that Mickey and Minnie will be on hand, all dressed up for a holiday time fiesta!
Other highlights of Disney ¡Viva Navidad! include appearances by beloved Disney characters, including Mirabel from Encanto! There will also be live performances by musical groups and holiday decorations, including piñatas!

To tempt your tastebuds, make sure to visit the Festive Foods Marketplace! It is there you will find a wide variety of classic holiday time sips and sweets from countries from around the world.

To close out the 2023 holiday season at the Disneyland Resort, a Three Kings Day celebration is offered to honor the Epiphany on Three Kings Day, or what is known as the twelfth day of Christmas and El Fia de los Reyes Magos.

World of Color – Season of Light
For the 2023 holiday season at Disney California Adventure Park, Guests are invited to see World of Color – Season of Light featuring iconic moments from Disney and Pixar films, such as Cinderella; Lady and the Tramp; Beauty and the Beast; Toy Story; Fantasia; Frozen; and Inside Out, all illuminated on a towering wall of mist and with tall fountains dancing in time to festive music accompanied by shimmering snowflakes.
Bringing friendship, family, and love to life, World of Color – Season of Light is set to a joyous musical score, including well-known movie tunes you will be singing along to. Goofy will also be on hand with some crazy hijinks!

Mater’s Jingle Jamboree
Head over to Cars Land during the 2023 holiday season for haul-iday tractor spin through Mater’s junkyard, which has received a special touch of holiday magic, including some holiday tunes!

Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl
Guests of all ages are invited by Luigi and his family of roadsters to celebrate the 2023 holiday season at the Disneyland Resort in style with festive dances all sung by Luigi himself! Take a rest in a classic Italian import and enjoy the ride to the sounds of the season – Luigi style!

A Christmas Fantasy Parade
Prancing reindeer, marching toy soldiers, dancing gingerbread cookies, and so much more unite with the man of the season, Santa, for a festive parade down Main Street, U.S.A.!

A Christmas Fantasy Parade also includes Mickey and Minnie working alongside Chip ‘n Dale to organize an avalanche of letters to Santa: Anna, Elsa, and Olaf bidding Guests a warm winter welcome; Woody and Buzz giving a playful wave from on top of giant wooden building blocks; Disney Princesses dancing at the Candlelight Ball, and so much more!

“it’s a small world” Holiday
The iconic holiday attraction overlay is back during the 2023 holiday season at Disneyland Park! “it’s a small world” holiday invites Guests to sail along a wintry waterway decorated with whimsical holiday decorations.
In addition to the costumed chorus of children singing the classic “it’s a small world (after all) song, Guests will also hear them belting some traditional holiday music.

For some added magic, make sure to take a beat and see the joyous light projection show that lights up the facade of the holiday time attraction that occurs every 30 minutes during the holiday season! I don’t think there is a more perfect way to embrace the most wonderful time of the year!

“Believe…In Holiday Magic” Fireworks
The holiday magic goes to the night skies during the 2023 holiday season at Disneyland Park with the “Beleive…In Holiday Magic” Fireworks nighttime spectacular. Accompanied by holiday music – and “snow” – this is the perfect way to get in the holiday spirit with a touch of Disney magic.

Wintertime Enchantment at Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle
During the 2023 holiday season, Sleeping Beauty Castle will be all decked out in over 80,000 twinkling lights, along with wreaths and other festive decor.
During each night of the season, Guests are invited to see the shimmer come to life with a lighting ceremony that also includes “snow!”

Haunted Mansion Holiday
One of the most exciting experiences during Disneyland’s holiday season is back for another year! Starting September 1, 2023, and offered during the entire season, Haunted Manion Holiday takes the iconic Haunted Mansion attraction and mashes it up with the cult classic Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
During Haunted Mansion Holiday, the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington, decorates the attraction with touches from the movie. Guests will be treated to thrilling sights and seasonal surprised created by the citizens of Halloween Town.
In addition to Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie, and other characters from the film are on hand to wish you and yours a “Season’s Screamigs!”

During your visit to the Disneyland Resort for the 2023 holiday season, make sure to head over to Downtown Disney for even more holiday magic! From the best shopping options and extravagantly decorated windows to over-the-top trimmed trees and twinkling lights, Downtown Disney is the place to be to get in the spirit of the season!
