Springtime For Pluto Released (1944)
On this day in 1944, the Pluto short Springtime for Pluto was released.

The cartoon featured Pluto, who is awakened by the Spirit of Spring. This causes the pooch to dance his way into trouble.
Disneyland’s Skyway Opens (1956)
On this day in 1956, Disneyland’s Skyway opened.

The attraction took guests on a small gondola between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland.
The Enchanted Tiki Room Opens (1963)
On this day in 1963, the Enchanted Tiki Room opened!
Enchanted Tiki Room
Disneyland’s first Audio-Animatronic attraction, the original show featured over 150 talking and singing birds. The show would become a smash hit.
The Monkey’s Uncle Released (1965)
On this day in 1965, The Monkey’s Uncle was released.

The second installment in the Merlin Jones series starred Tommy Kirk and Annette Funicello. In the film, the fate of Medfield College’s $10 million endowment rests on Jones.
The Happiest Millionaire Released (1967)
On this day in 1967, The Happiest Millionaire was released.

The film starred Fred MacMurray and Greer Garson and told the story of Philadelphia millionaire Anthony J. Drexel Biddle.
Honey, I Shrunk The Kids Released (1989)
On this day in 1989, Honey, I Shrunk The Kids was released.

The film told the story of an inventor (Rick Moranis) who accidentally shrinks a group of kids down to 1/4 of an inch.
Delta Dreamflight Opens (1989)
Also on this day in 1989, Delta Dreamflight opened in Walt Disney World’s Tomorrowland.

The attraction, which had formally been known as If You Had Wings, took guests through the history of flight.
Pocahontas Released (1995)
On this day in 1995, Pocahontas was released.
The film was loosely based on the life of the titular Native American, who falls in love with English settler John Smith.
Tarzan’s Treehouse Opens (1999)
On this day in 1999, Tarzan’s Treehouse opened in Disneyland’s Adventureland.

The Ward Kimball Dedicated (2005)
On this day in 2005, Disneyland’s Ward Kimball steam engine wad dedicated.

The locomotive was the newest addition to the Disneyland Railroad.
Leroy & Stitch Debuts (2006)
On this day in 2006, Leroy & Stitch debuted on the Disney Channel.

The film was spin-off of the popular 2002 animated feature film Lilo & Stitch and the conclusion of the Lilo & Stitch: The Series television show.
Games of Pixar Pier Opens (2018)
Finally, on this day in 2018, the Games of Pixar Pier opened at Disney California Adventure.

Among the boardwalk style games to open were La Luna Star Catcher, Heimlich’s Candy Corn Toss, WALL·E Space Race, and Bullseye Stallion Stampede.
