Disney and Snapchat are teaming up for a groundbreaking collaboration that will illustrate how Augmented Reality (AR) can enhance storytelling.
The industry-leading companies are coming together to create an interactive exhibit at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The immersive AR exhibition will bring the magic of Disney stories to life like never before.
Enter The World of Disney
In celebration of Disney100, and using the power of Snapchat’s Augmented Reality technology, guests will be able to engage with their favorite Disney tales.
According to the press release, Disney fans will be able to “Blast off through space with the Guardians of the Galaxy, meet the characters of Pixar’s latest movie Elemental, travel to the majestic oceans of Pandora inspired by Avatar: The Way of Water, exit Hyperspace on a desert planet from The Mandalorian, and discover how wishes are granted in Disney’s upcoming film Wish.”
With Snap AR, the characters will come to life alongside you, responding to every movement. Additionally, realistic costumes will be tailored to the individual and cinematic environments will take over.
