Could an Inside Out Series Be Coming to Disney+?

We’ve got some exciting news for fans of Pixar’s Inside Out. Rumors are surfacing that a new Inside Out series may be coming to Disney+. According to a recent piece on CBR Pixar is currently working on a “big-budget” series based on the film.

At the moment, there are no further details regarding the series but this is a story that we will continue to follow closely. We love Inside Out and definitely hope that project comes to fruition.

If the series does become a reality, it does mean that there will be two Inside Out projects in the pipeline. Back at the last year’s D23 Expo, Disney revealed that they are working on a sequel to the original film. At that time it was revealed that Amy Poehler will be returning to voice Joy who is an emotion inside the head of a human girl named Riley.

At the moment, we know that the sequel to Inside Out will be released at some point in 2024. We do know a little bit more about this project in that it will apparently follow Riley as a teenager and with her coming of age comes some new emotions! We also know that Kelsey Mann has signed on to direct the project whose previous credits include Monsters University and The Good Dinosaur.

Inside Out is available to stream on Disney+. Inside Out 2 is scheduled to come out on June 14, 2024. At this time, there’s no release window for the original series.
