Evacuation Platform Added To Disney Skyliner Turn Station

I think that one of the best things that Disney has done in the last decade or so was the creation of the Disney Skyliner at Walt Disney World.

While I was initially skeptical that the new transportation method would be worth it, I absolutely adore taking a trip on the Skyliner these days.

My favorite resort has always been Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Now, having the resort connected to Art of Animation, Pop Century, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the resorts on Crescent Lake, has been a revelation.

Evacuation Platform Added To Turn Station

While the Skyliner has been open now for almost four years, it appears that Disney isn’t done making tweaks to the system.

Recently, Disney has added an evacuation platform on the Skyliner turn station.

For those who don’t know, the turn station is located on the Skyliner line between EPCOT and Disney’s Riviera Resort.

It looks like Disney will now have another way to get people off the Skyliner, especially if a breakdown happens around the turn station. It is interesting to see that Disney is still making additions to the transportation system.

Another New Safety Feature

While most guests will likely never use the new evacuation platform, it’s good to know that Disney is always working on improving guest safety.

As someone married to a woman who gets nervous on the Skyliner, hopefully showing her safety features like this will make the trip more relaxing.

As for me, I love the Disney Skyliner, and I can’t wait to soar over Disney World again!
