5 Must-Do Rides for Kids in Disney World — From a 9-Year-Old!
[Editor’s note: This post was written by my 9-year-old daughter Harper for Take Your Kid to Work Day!]
Hi, my name is Harper Landers, and I’m working with my mom today for Take Your Kid to Work Day!
These are the best rides in Disney World for kids. Each one has great things about it. Make sure you ask your little ones if they want to ride them! I have ridden all of them and from a 9-year-old’s perspective, they’re great!
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
First, we are going to EPCOT, and stopping at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Get ready to be shrunk down to Remy’s small size and go on an adventure for all ages. It has no height restrictions, and kids love the animation and the adventure.
Come race down through Gusteau’s kitchen and the dining area and be one of the guests at La Ratatouille.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Next, we are heading to Hollywood Studios. Come take a ride and spend some time in the countryside with Mickey and Minnie on their picnic.
You will get on a runaway train and lose your way to the countryside, finding yourself in the wild West, the tropical ocean falling down a waterfall, the city, a carnival, and also Daisy’s dance studio.
There is no height requirement so anybody can come ride. It’s great for kids because it is based on everybody’s favorite characters, Mickey and Minnie, who end up having a great picnic at the end with the night starry sky. This is no doubt a great ride for all ages!
Toy Story Mania
Now it’s time to play with classic Toy Story characters in Hollywood Studios. Here we will play a series of games like “Hamm and Eggs.” Get all your points and get an animal score and maybe even be at the top of the leaderboard!
There are also no height restrictions for this great ride. It is great for kids because of all the colors and animation. Animation is great because it helps kids locate shapes and sizes of things.
Also, this ride can have long lines so keep that in mind. Make sure to let the little ones ride this ride. My 6-year-old sister Hazel loves this ride. It is one of her favorites.
Slinky Dog Dash
Let’s dash with Slinky Dog through Andy’s backyard in Hollywood Studios. This ride takes you through the backyard to see other Toy Story characters from the movie, and you might even become a toy!
Keep in mind that you have to be 38” to ride the ride.
This ride is a little bit scary for children but how scary is it? It is not super scary but if you don’t necessarily like coasters it might scare you a bit. It is great for children because of the colors and lights and the original Toy Story characters that everyone loves!
The Seas with Nemo and Friends
Now we’re going under the sea to help find Nemo! It’s a big blue world at EPCOT where Nemo is hiding. You will go through the sea by the coral reef and even see sharks that want to eat Nemo! It has no height restrictions.
It is very colorful and kids get to explore different types of sea creatures. Also at the end, there is an aquarium full of real sea creatures, such as different types of fish and sharks, and if you’re lucky, you can sometimes spot dolphins. This is a great ride for kids!
And those are the can’t-miss rides for kids in Disney World!
Thanks to Harper for helping out on MickeyBlog today!
