The Fantastic Four (and X-Men) Will Not Appear in ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’
One of the biggest questions looming over the Marvel Cinematic Universe is how will the Fantastic Four and X-Men be integrated into the universe.
With Kang the Conqueror arriving in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Secret Invasion on the horizon, could these heroes team up with the Avengers?
Jeff Loveness Says No
According to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty writer Jeff Loveness, neither Marvel’s first family nor the X-Men will appear in the next Avengers movie.
“No, I think all that stuff is pretty far away,” said Loveless in an interview with Comicbook.com. “I know they’re making Fantastic Four, but that’s its own thing. I mean, look, I’m the biggest X-Men guy in the world. No, I think that’s being saved for a bit.
But, these Avengers are in trouble. They got a lot going on with Kang. They got more than enough to handle.”
While Marvel fans were likely not expecting to see the X-Men debut in an Avengers film, the fact that The Fantastic Four will not appear will be disappointing to some.
The Fantastic Four’s first MCU solo outing will is scheduled to land in theaters on February 14, 2025. With Avengers: The Kang Dynasty arriving in theaters a few months later, it seemed as if a team-up could be in the work.
The closeness of the release dates, combined with Kang’s connection to Reed Richards, led many to speculate the Fantastic Four would appear in The Kang Dynasty.
Namor Will Appear
Neither the Fantastic Four nor X-Men will not be appearing in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. However, Loveness did confirm one character that would be appearing.
“Namor, man. I’m excited to write Namor,” the writer said.
