The Princesses Are BACK With a New Menu at Cinderella’s Royal Table!
The princesses have returned to the Castle (along with a new menu) and MickeyBlog was there!
Disney first announced the return of royalty to Fairytale Dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table back in December and after nearly three years, today is the day!
If you aren’t familiar with this restaurant, it’s located inside Cinderella Castle! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served as character dining. Only Cinderella has appeared at meal times since the restaurant reopened after the pandemic closure. Until today!
Arrival and Setting
MickeyBlogger Miranda arrived for one of the first lunch reservations of the day. It was quiet in the check in area so she took a look around at some of the decor while waiting to start the dining experience.
Themed tapestries, wrought iron chandeliers and arched stone walls set the fairytale mood.
Suits of armor stand guard while swords and shields of royalty adorn the walls.
There’s a nod to Cinderella’s flying friends (and her pink sashes) in the bright stained glass windows.
And you might even spot some mischievous little mice on the shelf – Jaq and Gus Gus!
Menus for each meal can be previewed in a display window.
Once checked in, Guests are greeted in the Grand Hall by the lady of the house herself, Cinderella!
This welcome was always a part of the Fairytale Dining experience, but that doesn’t make it any less special!
Main Dining Room
Miranda was led up the spiral stairs, where it’s hard not to be struck by the beauty of the main dining room.
The royal ambiance continues all around with shields and sconces beneath carved archways and decorative pillars.
Beautiful heralding flags adorn the ceiling around elegant beams and a chandelier!
Let’s take a peek outside to Fantasyland…
There’s just something special about looking out those windows instead of just looking up at them! You’re definitely in the very heart of Disney magic, here!
Lunch Menu
Our bloggers were seated and given beautiful brand new menus!
The new menu for the pre fixe lunch features three courses plus a beverage. A large assortment of cocktails, wine and beer are also available for adults.
Guests can choose from an appetizer of Braised Beef, Soup of the day, a Castle Salad or Jumbo Shrimp. Miranda chose the Braised Beef, which was delectable and buttery tender.
Miranda also tried the Jumbo Shrimp, which made for a crisp, bright presentation! The flavors were unique and unlike any shrimp appetizer we’ve seen.
The Entrées Royale selection includes Grilled Chicken or Beef Tenderloin, a Parisian Gnocci with vegetables, a catch of the day or the signature “Magic Carpet Ride”
(spice-crusted pork belly and pork tenderloin with sides including a peppercorn flying carpet)!
Miranda’s Magic Carpet Ride was cooked to perfection and the big surprise – the peppercorn flying carpet was slightly sweet! The whole entree was perfect.
The Grilled Chicken with Tangled Pasta was an entree choice, made with pine nut pesto and flowers. How gorgeous is this plate? Tangled gold noodles on a frying pan, sprinkled with flowers? If this doesn’t scream Rapunzel I don’t know what does! And the flavors of the chicken mixed with the sauce and noodles was over the top!
The Pre Fixe dessert choice include “The Clock Strikes Twelve” (dark chocolate mousse with a caramel and praline center served with chocolate sauce and hazelnut gelato), the “Jaq & Gus” (cheesecake with seasonal flavors and garnishes) or the “Coffee Pot de Creme” (coffee-infused coconut custard, passion fruit gelee and crumbled chocolate-espresso beans).
And the simple “Jaq & Gus” was reported as the creamiest cheesecake Miranda has ever had!
“The Clock Strikes Twelve” dessert looks as festive as it sounds! Rich and decadent flavors that complement each other just perfectly.
Princesses
It wasn’t long before the royalty arrived!
Our first visit was from Snow White who couldn’t be any sweeter! She was happy to pose for us and chat for a few moments.
Our next visit came from Ariel, who dreamily twirled her hair and swayed around on her new “feet.”
The beautiful Princess Aurora stopped by next.
These ladies interact like true royalty with Guests, posing and hugging. They were so missed!
Our final royal visitor — Princess Jasmine! She gave us a spunky pose for a spunky princess!
After finishing off the desserts, Miranda made her way back down the Royal stairs to leave the castle, but she spotted one more little piece of pixie dust.
Just before you exit the castle, Guests can choose a magic wand or knight’s sword as a souvenir of their meal with Royalty!
Overview
Overall, the food was amazing and you could see how special this experience was to everyone in the room. There’s really nothing more magical than seeing fairytale dreams come true for the youngest mousekteers!
Fairytale Dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table is available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Advanced reservations are required and prepaid at the time of booking, though refunded within a cancellation period. Grab your reservation 60 days in advance of your trip!
Overall, we couldn’t be more thrilled to see this once-in-a-lifetime dining experience return to its pre-pandemic glory. It took some time, but the magic is fully back at Cinderella’s Royal Table!
