Disney Genie+ Sells Out For the First Time At Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World’s Genie+ has sold out for the first time since the service was introduced.
For those who don’t know, Genie+ is an option within the Disney Genie service that allows guests to make reservations for attractions, and enter the Lightning Lane.
Highest Cost Ever
Previously this weakened, Genie+ hit an all-time high price of $29 per person, per day. Even with the increased price, the service still managed to sell out today. When dynamic pricing was introduced in October 2022, it seemed like a way to keep the service from selling out.
The sellout of Genie+ may mean that Disney was caught off-guard by how busy the parks were this weekend.
Disney added the possibility for Genie+ to sell out, when it updated the service in May of 2022. Despite this, today marks the first time that the company has actually suspended Genie+ sales.
A First For Walt Disney World
While today marked the first time that Genie+ sold out at Walt Disney World, Disneyland has seen sales cease due to demand.
Guests who have already purchased the Genie+ for today can still use the service for whichever Lightning Lanes are still open.
