Special Droid Depot Box Recycling Points Now Available at Galaxy’s Edge
Keeping your planet clean and sustainable is a top priority all across the galaxy, and this brand-new recycling point at Disney’s Hollywood Studios helps us achieve this mission in the smartest way possible!
While passing time on Batuu earlier today, our MickeyBlog scavengers spotted this new set of bins placed just outside the Droid Depot factory in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
It’s a dedicated new recycling point, designed especially for the boxes that guests receive after building a droid in the depot. How handy is that?
Made from a hard cardboard that is sturdy enough to keep any astromech unit secure, these boxes may prove too bulky for guests to want to carry around, or even perhaps difficult to properly dispose of at home.
So, any guests with unwanted boxes can simply leave theirs in these handy bins just outside the store, to be disposed of and recycled appropriately!
While some guests may be a fan of these new bins, we still anticipate that many guests will be less-inclined to want to part with their droid boxes. Building a droid in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge sure isn’t cheap, and a lot of builders will see the box as an extension of their experience.
Either way you choose to look at it, whether it be recycling the box or keeping it for yourself, we’re glad to see that the droid boxes are being taken care of properly.
If you’re a droid builder, what have you done with your box/boxes? Is your droid still residing inside, or have you recycled it? Maybe you’ve even upcycled it into something new? If so, let us know!
We’d also recommend you check out this awesome line of “Droid Builder” apparel, perfect for any astromech mechanics who might happen to be passing through Batuu any time soon. Whether you prefer the BB- units, the R- series, or otherwise, there’s plenty of fun droid swag to be found here at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
