Breaking: Rebecca Campbell To Exit The Walt Disney Company Amidst Restructuring
Yesterday, at the Q1 FY23 Earnings Results Webcast, Disney announced plans for restructuring. Today, following the call, we learned that Rebecca Campbell will exit The Walt Disney Company.
The Hollywood Reporter shares that Bob Iger is focusing on returning “financial decision-making back to its creative ranks.” That being said, Disney Entertainment co-chairs Alan Bergman and Dana Walden have just been promoted.
While they previously focused on film and television, their responsibilities will expand to overseeing Disney’s streaming businesses. This includes Disney+ and Hulu.
The duo will also oversee all international, nonsports-related content covering “marketing, ad sales, content sales, distribution, and technology ”

The Walt Disney Company Chairman of International Content and Operations, Rebecca Campbell has been working for Disney for over 20 years. In fact, she was the President of Disneyland in 2020! Amidst the new changes, she’s decided to exit the Company.
She will continue working until June as the transition occurs. As a result of the restructuring, Michael Paull, the head of streaming, will report to Walden and Bergman in the future.
In a statement yesterday, Bob Iger said, “For nearly 100 years, storytelling and creativity have fueled the Walt Disney Co., with virtually every interaction we have with our consumers emanating from something creative.”
He added, “I am committed to positioning this company for a new era of growth. Our strategic restructuring will return creativity to the center of the company, increase accountability, improve results, and ensure the quality of our content and experiences.”
