Often times during the winter months, attractions at Walt Disney World Resort close for refurbishment. In fact, Kali
River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will close on January 9, 2023, but are you worried it’s forever?

Worried Fans
Deadline reported that the closure sparked worries from Guests that the closure may be permanent. Since it’s true that Walt Disney World Imagineers change and update attractions, those who love Kali River Rapids are concerned it may not return at all.

However, more often than not, the closures are for minor changes or for maintenance reasons. In this case, the Walt Disney Company assured Guests that the ride will return. The communications department said, “Kali River Rapids will be temporarily closed for routine maintenance and will reopen this spring.”

Required Maintenance
As mentioned above, attractions and rides continuously close for refurbishment at Disney Parks around the world. Keep in mind that if an attraction is permanently closing, then it usually comes with a formal announcement.

We, here at MickeyBlog, have not heard of Kali River Rapids permanently closing, so we are confident it will reopen in the spring. Even though there is not an official reopening date, we feel that it will come back just in time for those scorching hot summer months.
