The Most Regal New Anastasia Mug is Here!
Once upon a December (in 2022, in fact,) our MickeyBloggers happened upon the most enchanting and regal mug. Golden and intricate, this mug most notably featured one of Disney’s arguably most elusive princesses, along with her charming and charismatic suitor. Who’s that girl, and where has she come from?
Well, it’s Anastasia, of course!
Yep, that’s right, one of the very first pieces of Anastasia-inspired merchandise has just arrived at Walt Disney World, and it’s a hidden gem just waiting to be found.
This exquisite mug is sure to be a popular piece, so let’s dive in and take a closer look!
First, however, I think we’d best answer that question tickling everyone’s lips: since when did Anastasia become a Disney Princess?
Well, to answer that we’re going to have to pause for a quick bit of history. A journey to the past, if you will!

In honesty, I had that very same question. Ever since the captivating movie came out (twenty-five years ago, to be exact,) many have mistaken the animation style and princess storyline to be a Disney Classic.
However, the movie was actually produced by 20th Century Studios, meaning it had nothing to do with Disney whatsoever!
Fast-forward to March of 2019, when Disney’s famous acquisition of 21st Century Fox was completed, thus effectively transferring all Fox’s characters over to the Disney catalogue – princesses and all.
Anastasia became a Disney Princess, she even popped up on Disney+, and now we’re overjoyed to see her beautiful face grace the merchandise over in the Disney parks!
So, back to the mug. And, what a beauty of a mug it is, too!
Dazzling in jewel tones of jade green and golden amber, the mug features a captivating filigree pattern, dancing around regal portraits of Anya and Dmitri. The ceramic mug has a boldly sculpted handle and, when you peer inside, you’ll see the sweetest movie quote:
“I don’t like tea, just hot water and lemon.”
Now, it turns out that this mug is actually about as elusive as Anya’s music box itself, with the rare-to-find piece being an instant sell-out already in the parks and online at shopDisney.
Today was the first time MickeyBloggers laid eyes on it, and that was over at Fulton’s General Store, located at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort: Riverside!
So, if you’re looking to purchase this spectacular mug for yourself, we’d definitely recommend heading over to Fulton’s to begin your search! There, it cost $19.99.
Will you be enjoying a hot water and lemon in this beautiful mug this January?
