NEW: Jose Tiki Mug Drops at Trader Sam’s In Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
We’ve got something to squawk about! Disney announced today that they would be releasing a brand new tiki mug inspired by our beloved feathered friend Jose from Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki room at Trade Sam’s Grog Grotto and Tiki Terrace at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
So our MickeyBlogger Jessica zoomed right over to the Poly to get in line!
There’s always a HUGE queue of Disney fans when a new souvenir tiki mug is announced and today was no exception.
Guests arriving at Trader Sam’s were asked to line up and wristbands were distributed.
As you can see from the signage, the Tiki Mug retails for $50.00 and comes with your choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages.
The line wasn’t too long when we arrived but started to fil up fast!
Below is a video we took of the crowds all lined up!
We did manage to get our wristbands.
The line starts outside of the Trader Sam’s door inside the Polynesian Resorts main ceremonial hall
We are excited to share a first look at the Jose mug!
The mug is a light brown color with darker brown accents.
Jose sits adorably on a perch with his name written below.
We love all of the 3D detailing.
It really brings our feathered friend to life!
As you can see there is a small opening on the top of Jose’s head from which to sip your favorite tiki beverage.
Not the most practical of drinking vassels but it makes a fantastic souvenir!
For collectors the mug does have 1st addition branding.
Here’s a closer look at the two beverages that came with the mug.
The alcoholic version is the Manu Aloha.
It is made with Leblon Cachaca, pineapple, lime, mint and agave.
A lime wheel adds the finishing touch.
The non-alcoholic drink is Blame It On The Samba!
Its made with Fever-Tree Ginger Beer, Lime, Pineapple, Mint and Agave.
It is garnished with a purple orchid.
Here are a few videos we took providing you with a closer look at Jose!
Also be sure to go an see Jose in person at the Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom.
