Grand Floridian’s Basin Location Debuts Holiday Soaps, Bath Essentials
On the way to the monorail station at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, a stop into Basin always offers a refreshing and relaxing bit of browsing. Not only do they stock the brand’s full range of bath products, but the specialty store always features exclusive Disney seasonal offerings too.
Over the past couple of weeks, the store transitioned from their fall choices to a gigantic range of soaps, scrubs and bath bombs fit for the December holiday season.
Mickey silhouttes discretely appear in many of the designs, most of which focus on the evergreens and candy cane red shades that tend to define traditional Christmas decorations.
One bar even offers a nod to Santa Claus with Mickey’s iconic shape speckled throughout a jolly, “Ho, Ho Ho,” message.
Would it even be a line of Christmas novelties without a nod to the ugly Christmas sweater? This specific bar bursts with a cherry scent while others play around with the more savory smells of the season, including cinammon, cloves and peppermint.
Translucent blues abound on a couple of other bar soap options.
Each selection features Basin’s unique all-natural formulas that utilize vegetable oil or olive oil as their base.
Breaking from their standard rectangular design, Basin also plays around with shapes in this year’s collection with a Christmas tree-shaped bar.
For those traveling to warmer climates this holiday season (or at least dreaming of them), the line also includes “Christmas in Paradise.” The bar certainly leaves one dreaming on an island oasis both in its design and its tropical smells.
Beyond the Bar
For those looking to celebrate the entire season with Basin products, the store also features a “12 Days of Bath Bombs Advent Calendar,” making for a solid way to relax during this year’s festivities.
A delightfully sweet body butter reminds us of the smells of the season’s array of cookies with a sugared shortbread scent. Mickey and friends celebrate the season in a darling border around the container of the $34.99 lotion.
Holiday bath bombs play with the same design elements and make a super stocking stuffer.
The Ugly Sweater also gets a moment in the packaging of both holiday bath fizz flavors and three new body butters.
The ultra-moisturizing shea butter blends capture all kinds of holiday flare with peppermint, sugar cookie, and the “Let it Snow” blend, which uses eucalyptus, sandalwood, sage, and orange fragrances.
