New Animal Kingdom Maps Drop Covid Warnings
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Maps have dropped Covid-19 warnings as of today! MickeyBloggers on location spotted the new maps right away this morning and noted that the maps drop the covid warnings immediately. There were some other significant changes we also want to point out!
Things are looking good on the Covid front. Last week, Disney announced that negative Covid tests would not be required for any guests, regardless of vaccination status, sailing on Disney Cruise Line after November 14, 2022!
We’re very excited to see that the covid warnings are gone from the park maps. We’ve seen so many previous covid restrictions removed over the last few months. Very few covid-era policies still remain, some to the chagrin of park goers (looking at you park passes and park hopping after 2pm…).
We’ve seen lots of things return like HUGS from characters (YAY), shows, buffets, and more. But Disney is always growing and changing, so we’re always on the lookout for hints when we look at the park maps.
Dinoland Differences
Triceratops Spin is off the map for good. Previously the map still had it pictured, but there was no number label telling guests what it was. Hopefully, we will see more coming to Dinoland in the next year! Josh Di’Amaro did a lot of “blue sky” dreaming at D23 this year, but there’s a lot up in the air for this corner of Animal Kingdom.
Kite Tails is Gone
Kite Tails, live performers, colorful kites, and music is also gone. Disney nixed the show in September and it’s officially fallen off the map at the Discovery River Ampetheater.
Grab Your Map and Go!
Make sure to pick up a park map as you enter the parks. They’re a great way to orient yourself, make for a good scrapbook keepsake, and don’t drain the battery on your phone looking things up! Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary continues until March 31, 2022.
