New Diwali Decorations Added To Asia Area of Animal Kingdom
Our MickeyBlogger is spending the afternoon at Animal Kingdom where we noticed some new decorations in the Asia section of the park. A cast member in the area told us that these colorful lanterns were added yesterday to celebrate Diwali.
For those unfamiliar, Diwali is also known as the Festival of Lights. It is a Hindu religious festival and falls on the week of October 22nd this year.
Outside the Feathered Friends in Flight you can notice all of the incredible lanterns.
Guests to the Asia section of the park will be greeting by this stunning display.
This is such a wonderful touch to the area.
We aren’t sure whether or not the lanterns will stay up after the week.
This is a story that we will continue to follow closely.
Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for further Walt Disney World news and updates.
We’ll be coming to you LIVE from the theme parks each and every week.
Also be sure to check out Feathered Friends during your Animal Kingdom visit . You can watch as animal behavior specialists for a behind-the-scenes look at the free-flying birds of Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park.
The show is held throughout the day at Anandapur Theater to learn how these specialists care for and train their feathered friends.
