Blizzard Beach Reopening with New ‘Frozen’ Theme Next Month!
I have not one but two exciting pieces of news to share this morning. Walt Disney World has just shared that Blizzard Beach Water Park will be reopening next month! In addition, once reopen, it will feature a new “Frozen” theme on select attractions in areas of the Water Park!
Per Disney, “It’s ski-riffic time at Walt Disney World Resort as Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park prepared to reopen on November 13 when guests will once again set of on arctic adventures in the warm Florida sun and discover new touches from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, ‘Frozen'”
Guests will notice the new “Frozen” touches throughout the Water Park including on the fan-favorite attraction for the littlest Guests, Tide Peak. These touches include statuettes of Olaf and all his Snowgie Pals along with a replica of Anna and Elsa’s Igloo Castle.
But, there’s even more! Guests visiting throughout the end of 2022 will delight in an enhanced options for the holidays including themed-treats, festive inter tubes, and even snow!
For the ultimate Christmas in Florida experience, Santa Claus will also be on hand to say cheese with Guests and their families so they can send “warm” wishes in their holiday cards this year.
Even if it gets a little chilly during your visit, Blizzard Beach has you covered with heated water throughout the Water Park. And, in addition to the “Frozen” theming, several other popular attractions will be returning when Blizzard Beach reopens including:
- Summit Plummet: One of the fastest – and tallest – freefall body slides around. Guests start that freefall down Mount Gushmore in a drop that is near vertical and then they are rocketed into a dark tunnel.
- Teamboat Springs: One of the world’s largest whitewater raft adventures, where up to six Guests can take an unforgettable whitewater journey down a mountain.
- Toboggan Racers: Guests use a mat to compete in a thrilling downhill race on an eight-lane slalom waterslide.
- Cross Country Creek: A scenic lazy river that takes Guests on an arctic-themed adventure through mysterious caves and illuminated grottoes while basking in Mount Gushmore’s refreshing spring water throughout polar paradise.
- Runoff Rapids: Three different inner tube waterslides where Guests are invited to twist and turn down an adrenaline-filled trip down Mount Gushmore.
After all that fun, you will sure want to take a quick stop for some good food and drinks! You won’t have to look too far to find some delicious options at Blizzard Beach as there are some great spots throughout the Water Park that offer fan-favorite options made just for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.
For the adults, select locations have some alcoholic drinks available including an all-new Orange Sloper DOLE Whip Swirl at Warming Hut. There’s also a Red Slope Bloody Mary at Frostbite Freddy’s and a Melt-A-Way Margarita at Polar Pub.
