Video: Special Beacons of Magic for Epcot’s 40th Tonight!
Epcot’s 40th Anniversary did not disappoint today! MickeyBlog was on the scene for 12 hours of coverage from pins to ice cream to the incredible anniversary performance of Mariachi Cobre!
The celebratory day culminated just perfectly with a simply stunning commemorative performance of Epcot’s Beacons of Magic that featured some throwbacks to Illuminations: Reflections of Earth and some historic Epcot music and lights!

We heard so many classic Epcot sounds! If you listen closely you might recognize music from the old Dreamfinder ride, an original Epcot attraction that served as a bit of a prequel to today’s Journey Into Imagination.
We definitely heard music from the Tapestry of Nations Parade that formerly made its way through the World Showcase.
The final color scheme looks to be the rainbow Epcot 40th logo, recreated with the colors of the world united around the symbol for Spaceship Earth. What a fitting tribute!
We also caught some of the soundtrack to The Land pavilion and some of the Epcot Forever music!
And of course, the familiar Illuminations ballad, “We Go On”, such a fitting finale to a day celebrating 40 years of world unity at the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow!
Epcot does go on and we will all be right here to watch the future unfold, with the Beacons of Magic lighting the way.
