Feeling Nostalgic: Best Disney World Commercials from the Past
There was just something about those awesome Disney World commercials from the 90s. Disney seemed to put out more ads those days and they had a way of sticking with you.
These days, occasionally I get an ad reminding me about the 50th Anniversary Celebration, but nothing really heartfelt, funny, or frankly, memorable.
Let’s do a countdown of the most memorable Disney commercials from the classic 90s era.
5. Kids Say the Darndest Things
This commercial still cracks me up because it feels kids are so innocent. This little boy is talking up his Disney cruise in a crowded elevator.
One of the strangers asks his mom if they just got back and she says it’s been about a year, to which the little boy says, “This is my baby brother, Joe. Mom says he’s our little souvenir.” Dead. I am dead.
4. The Cutest Little Girl Ever
Why am I crying at a Disney commercial? Seriously! This little girl is the embodiment of what parents are hoping to have with their kids.
She’s excited and awake before everyone else and spends the day giggling with her parents. And at the end of night when she sees Mickey… “I’ve waited my whole life to meet you!” Oh, my heart.
3. Too Excited to Sleep!
There is nothing cuter than your kids getting along, especially when they are excited about their next Disney World vacation. “Get to bed, guys.” “We’re too excited to sleep!”
I hear ya, kids. I still get that way before my Disney World vacation.
2. Two Brothers
I don’t know why, but when I think of a Disney World commercial today, this is the commercial I think of!
It shows an older brother telling his little brother all about Walt Disney World while helping him pack. “The first thing you gotta remember about Disney World is to pace yourself.” True facts, kid.
1. Disneyland Duck
This is a total cheat, but there is no shame in my game here!
This commercial is not only for Disneyland Paris, but it is also from 2018, but it was the first time in decades that Disney put out a commercial that made us feel. Y’all. I am crying over a CGI duck…
What was so great and gripping about the commercials of the 90s is that we were emotionally attached. Nobody does emotional attachment to fictional characters quite like Disney!
This little baby duck sees an old Donald Duck comic book and is trying to be just like Donald. Then the time comes for them to migrate and he can’t fly with his comic book.
Oh, my heart! After flying through all kinds of scary challenges he stumbles into a huge shadow. When he looks up… It’s Donald!! The little duck flew to Disneyland! I’m not crying, you’re crying!!
What Disney commercial do you remember from the good ol’ days?
