First Look: Disney Uncharted Adventure Aboard the Disney Wish
We’ve got something pretty cool to share with you! Disney Cruise Line is taking storytelling to the next level aboard the Disney Wish with the debut of Disney Uncharted Adventure. This is the first-of-its-kind interactive experience leading guests on a journey from bow to stern and beyond the stars.
Uncharted Adventure combines imagination, technology and the magic of a wishing star. The world of iconic Disney and Pixar characters combine in this multidimensional request. This onboard experience is especially designed for families to play together and experience the enchantment that lies in all of the little details of your Disney Cruise ship!

Davey Feder, software product manager, Walt Disney Imagineering had this to say of this unique onboard experience, “With the Disney Wish, we have an incredible opportunity to immerse our guests in the worlds of their favorite stories in surprising, interactive and completely new ways.” Davey continues, “With Disney Uncharted Adventure, we’re literally putting the power in our guests’ hands to become the heroes of a grand adventure that can only be done on a Disney cruise.”
The experience is unlocked using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Captain Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse are on hand to help guests transform your mobile device into an enchanted spyglass. Using this tool, you’ll magically set sail for the worlds of Moana, Tiana, Peter Pan, Nemo and more.
You’ll unlock adventures, solving puzzles, conquering quests and ultimately saving the day.
Feder is quick to point out that this isn’t a traditional mobile gaming experience. He said, “This is a heads-up, active experience that can be played with family and friends. The magic happens all around the ship. The spyglass is not where the adventure takes place — it’s just the tool that brings the ship to life, opening portals into new worlds and allowing guests to interact with them.”
The adventure begins with a greeting from Captain Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse.
You’ll learn about the importance the role of the night sky plays in seafaring. Particular attention is paid to the ever-shining wishing start that lights the way.
You’ll use your spyglass to reveal never-before-seen views of the stars including enchanted constellations which for some recognizable Disney and Pixar icons.
When the wishing star is threatened by an unknown evil force and its magic is split into pieces its up to you to help navigate the ship toward the uncharted worlds to restore the power of the star.
You’ll choose where to go next with locale right from your favorite Disney stories including Motunui, New Orleans, Never Land, Sydney and more.
Each quest takes you on a journey through the Disney Wish. You’ll seek out artwork, signs and props that bring the characters and settings of these adventure stories to life.
“We are infusing the Disney Wish with innovative technology, like augmented reality and physical effects, to create a hidden layer of magic that can only be unlocked with Disney Uncharted Adventure,” Feder said. “Guests may admire a beautiful painting today without realizing that, hiding right beneath the surface, there’s a hoard of mischievous Kakamora from the world of Moana just waiting to escape and wreak havoc on the ship. A digital menu board might showcase what’s for lunch in the afternoon, but later it will host a cooking lesson in Tiana’s own kitchen.”
You’ll join the heroic characters who inhabit each destination on your mission to find star fragment. Highlights of your adventure will include:
You’ll team up with Moana to navigate their canoes beyond the reef.
You’ll also help Tiana cook the perfect pot of gumbo.
Guests will also summon Tinker Bell to give the Wish some extra pixie dust.
Finally, you’ll make an epic dive into the East Australian Current (EAC) with Nemo and the gang!
The grand finale is hosted by one of the ship’s premier entertainment venues. You’ll have the chance to gather with other players to battle some familiar Disney baddies and return the wishing star to its important place in the night sky.
Uncharted Adventure offers players flexibility, replayability and customization.
Best of all, Disney realizes lots of other adventures waits for you aboard the Disney Wish. With that in mind, you can choose how and when to play Uncharted Adventures.
You may not complete every quest but you can still enjoy the finale event. You can also play the game again and again.
