Disney Cancels Brightline High-Speed Rail Station at Disney Springs
Disney has canceled the plans for the Brightline high-speed rail station at Disney Springs. A representative for Disney confirmed the news today.
“As many people who are involved in this project are aware, the new route configuration does not support a Disney Springs station and as a result, we don’t anticipate being part of this project,” Disney spokesperson Avery Maehrer told the Orlando Business Journal.
Comments from Brightline were not available.
Originally in the plans, the route was supposed to run from Miami to Orlando to provide a new mode of transportation to get to and from the Disney parks.
Brightline will now bring passengers to locations in Florida such as Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach.
