Fun New Photo Spot Takes Flight for Pride Month at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
All around Walt Disney World, many different offerings and experiences have become available to celebrate Pride Month.
From cupcakes to cocktails, merchandise to Magic Shots, there are lots of ways to show your Pride this June!
MickeyBloggers are over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, where we spotted this awesome new mural has recently been installed. While this large, tired, backlot gate on the way to the Grand Avenue section of the park has never been at the top of anyone’s photo spot lists, it has received a bright new addition that certainly makes it stand out amidst the summer crowds!
The installation depicts a cloud of Mickey-shaped balloons, floating high enough so guests can snap a photo as though they are holding on to the bunch.
At first glance, guests will admire the bright array of colors on display. However, upon closer inspection, you’ll notice that each individual balloon holds a special meaning.
Each balloon is striped with different colors, each one representing a different flag from the LGBTQIA+ community. This means that the transgender, intersex, bisexual, pansexual communities and more are all represented individually, a beautiful demonstration of recognition by the artists who created this piece.
The center balloon depicts, of course, the Rainbow Pride flag. It is finished with a Mickey Mouse icon stood amidst the word “Love,” adding a magical finishing touch to the display.
This isn’t the only unique photo spot we have found in the parks this month. Magic Kingdom has upgraded its iconic Purple Wall with this stunning rainbow ear design, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom have been showing their “Love” too!
When you’re next visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios, make sure you stop by this mural to take a photo and share your Pride! It can be found located in-between the Star Tours and Muppet Plaza areas of the park, and is not to be missed!
