Wait It Out When Trying To Get Lighting Lane For Cosmic Rewind
Those looking to make an Individual Lightning Lane purchase for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, experienced the same issues that those on the virtual queues spoke about this morning which is that availability was almost non-existent and securing a spot to ride the attraction was a bit like winning the lottery.
However, during our visit today, we talked to guests that said that Lightning Lane had a bit of a false start this morning and that guests that waited it out a bit were able to secure Individual Lightning Lane passes (at an additional cost) on Disney Genie+ at around 7:15 this morning.
This was obviously a frustrating moment for guests visiting for the day that are willing to shell out the extra $17 per person for front-of-the-line access to the ride.
The same lack of availability also seemed to impact EPCOT’s other Individual Lightning Lane attraction, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Reports are coming in that the lack of availability can possibly attributed to a glitch in the Genie+/ Lightning Lane system that resulted in a delay in daily passes being available.

Something to keep in mind if you’re trying for Cosmic Rewind Individual Lightning Lane this weekend: If you fail at 7 am, keep trying until at least 7:12 am.
7:12 am is the purchase timeout for people who changed their mind or received an error during checkout. https://t.co/9uIAexHwdO pic.twitter.com/HbCRKJeQoB

It would appear that others had a similar experience and reported success in getting Individual Lightning Lane passes for the attractions at around 7:12 am.
With that in mind, our big piece of advice for those visiting EPCOT over Memorial Day weekend is to keep trying. If you’re looking to try and get your Lightning Lane passes for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and are unable to get them right at 7:00 am keep trying. Technical issues may cause a delay in availability.
We’ll be visiting the parks throughout Memorial Day weekend and we’ll keep you posted regarding the Lightning Lane and Virtual Queue booking process. So keep checking back in with use.
