Learn The Xandarian Language During Your EPCOT Visit
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you may have seen our soft-opening coverage of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind which opens on May 27th at EPCOT. We spent a lot of time talking about all of the incredible details that went into making this fully immersive experience come to life. Right down to the signs in the Wonders of Xandar Pavilion.
One recent visitor and CinemaBlend writer Jessica Rawden took her experience to the next level by teaching herself how to speak Xandarian thanks to some clever Disney signage!
At the very end of the attraction before you leave the pavilion you’ll see a mirror and a sign. You can check out Rawden’s picture below:

Rawden figured out a key to how you can translate this message! How cool is that!? She used her phone to capture the sign and with a pencil and a notebook sat down and created a cipher for the Xandarian message. Rawden captured other instances of the Xandarian language on the signage in the pavilion to aid in this endeavor.
So wondering what the message says!? We recommend that you head to CinemaBlend and reward our codebreaker with some traffic! She’ll translate the message for you. Alternatively, you can take her clues and create your own “How-To” to translate the message during your next visit!
Here are some quick tips that might help in your own translation:
- Use signs like the one above with translations in both English and Xandarian to start to work out what letters correspond.
- You’ll find many signs like this sprinkled throughout the ride so capture as many of them as you can by taking a photo with your phone.
- Once you’ve worked out the basics then you can translate not just the big sign mentioned by Rawden near the exit but signage and props throughout the ride. So bring your code with you.
Once you’ve cracked the code, you’ll find signage labelled only in Xandarian and be able to translate them. This is a great way to enhance the storyline.
