Germany Pavilion’s Model Railway is Undergoing Some Miniature Construction
On a stroll around the World Showcase in Epcot, one of our favorite things to stop and admire is the model railway.
Located in the Germany pavilion, this miniature town is full of charm, character, and tiny little villagers going about their tiny village day.
Whilst passing through the pavilion today, MickeyBloggers noticed a strange new addition to the village, towering above the train tracks. What could it be?
Well, we’re pleased to share that it’s not a terrifying, windowless skyscraper – it’s actually a block of scrim.
It looks like there’s some construction underway in the model village and, although we can’t see exactly what is being done, we are sure that the mini garden railway townspeople are benefitting from this infrastructural upkeep!
We can see that the bridge, which guests are usually able to walk across to enjoy the village up-close, has been blocked off by the scrim.
This is over a portion of the bridge that the train runs underneath, so maybe there has been a fault in the line that needs tending to?
We can’t see any miniature workmen out and about, so they must be deep in the tunnel. I hope they have miniature torches under there!
If you have ever wondered what it would look like to ride that tiny train around this gorgeous garden village, then you definitely need to follow this link.
The Disney Parks TikTok channel recently filmed a POV video aboard the train, giving us a rare view of the whole attraction!
The whole of the Germany pavilion in the Epcot World Showcase is stunning, but this model village and railway will always stand out as a personal favorite for me. Hopefully the fault will be fixed and the scrim removed soon, so the tiny villages can hop back aboard their tiny train and carry on with their tiny village life as usual!
