Money Collected From Cinderella’s Wishing Well Goes For a Good Cause
We’ve got a feel good story for your Tuesday morning! If you’ve ever dropped by to toss a few coins in Cinderella’s Wishing Well, you’ve probably wondered what happens to the money guests throw in each and every day!. This is just one of the many fountains and waterways across Walt Disney World where guests throw in some spare change an make a wish. Well here’s your answer. Disney has just announced that it is donating $30,000 in coins collected at Disney to Give Kids the World Village.

Founded in 1986, Give Kids the World Village plays a key role in Disney’s wish granting efforts at Walt Disney World. This is a popular place for wish kids and families to create priceless memories. Disney has had a longstanding relationship with the village where VoluntEARS are a mainstay doing everything from serving ice cream to assisting at special events. .

“We’ve had an amazing relationship with Walt Disney World Resort for more than 35 years, and this donation on top of the recent $500,000 grant will help us to continue making dreams come true for our very special wish families who visit the Village,” said Pam Landwirth, President and CEO – Give Kids The World Village.
The $30,000 donation is just one of the ways that Disney gives back to magic makers in Central Florida. As we previously mentioned here at MickeyBlog, Disney kicked off The World’s Most Magical Celebration with $3 million in grants to six local non-profit organizations including Give Kids the World Village.
